Gudauri's published season runs 19 December to 18 April, with an adult day pass at 70 lari

The resort listing gives the current season as 19 December 2026 to 18 April 2027, in line with its usual late-December to late-April pattern. An adult day pass is quoted at 70 lari and a child's at 35 lari. Those are the figures to quote a guest asking what a day on the mountain costs — bearing in mind that lift tickets are the smallest line in a Gudauri week, well behind accommodation and transfers, and that resorts revise prices between seasons.

Gudauri runs from 1,993 to 3,276 metres, a vertical of 1,283 metres, with 34.8 kilometres of marked pistes served by 17 lifts. The breakdown is 4.6 kilometres easy, 19.4 kilometres intermediate and 10.8 kilometres difficult, which is a resort weighted to confident intermediates rather than beginners or experts. The listing gives it an overall three-and-a-bit-star assessment — a useful corrective to marketing that describes it as a Caucasus answer to the Alps.

Two honest caveats earn more trust than they cost. The opening date in a resort listing is a plan, not a promise: a thin December shifts the useful start of the season, and the lower runs are the first to suffer. And the road matters as much as the snow — Gudauri sits on the pass route north of Tbilisi, where closures and convoy restrictions happen in heavy weather. Guests who are told both facts in advance plan an extra buffer day and complain less when they need it.
