Five carriers added Georgian routes across 2026 — and none to Batumi

Wizz Air put Kutaisi-Bratislava on sale from 12 January 2026 at four flights a week, and Venice-Kutaisi from 2 December 2025. Norwegian announced Copenhagen-Tbilisi from 27 June 2026, twice weekly. Condor took Frankfurt-Tbilisi daily from 15 June 2026. Air China's Beijing-Tbilisi service routes via Ürümqi, twice weekly. AJet flies Ankara-Tbilisi four times a week and had already launched. These were the schedules as published; airline timetables change, so confirm the current frequency before planning a season around any one of them.

The split in that list is not an accident. Kutaisi's additions are low-cost European city pairs; Tbilisi's are legacy and long-haul — a German flag-adjacent carrier, a Scandinavian low-cost arm into the capital, a Chinese connection over Central Asia. For a host in Imereti or a guesthouse in Svaneti, Kutaisi arrivals are the relevant number. For anyone whose guests come on a connecting ticket from outside Europe, it is Tbilisi.

No new Batumi routes appeared on the list. For a coast that sells itself on summer beach holidays, that matters more than it looks: a seasonal resort without direct scheduled lift depends on charters, on Tbilisi transfers four and a half hours away, or on Kutaisi two hours off. An owner weighing a short-let on the Adjara coast should treat the airline schedule as part of the asset's fundamentals, not as background noise — the occupancy assumption in any yield projection rests on it.
