Dashbashi rates 4.1, and nobody agrees what the ticket costs

Tsalka Canyon at Dashbashi, the site of the glass Diamond Bridge, holds 4.1 out of 5 from 39 Tripadvisor reviews and ranks second of four things to do in Dashbashi. Reviewers are near-unanimous on the scenery and almost as unanimous in complaining about admission, with reported prices running from 49 GEL in 2023 to 79 GEL in 2024 and 2025. One 2025 visitor says they paid 79 while others that day paid 49, and that staff did not explain what the ticket covered.

What reviewers consistently praise

The scenery, the waterfalls and the views carry the rating. One visitor writing in December 2025 called the place pure magic. Staff and guides get good marks, and at least one reviewer praises the Georgian food at the restaurant. The bridge crossing itself is described as thrilling by some and simply nice by others; the listing's description gives it as 240 metres long and roughly 280 metres above the gorge floor. Nobody in these reviews disputes that the canyon is worth looking at.

The complaints are about money and information

Admission is the single most common grievance. Beyond the inconsistent ticket price, reviewers mention expensive coffee, and a minibus or shared taxi back up from the falls at about 8 GEL a head. Some say the glass is dirty and that there is little inside the diamond structure beyond drinks and snacks. A 2025 visitor reports little English at the visitor centre and poor information about routes and distances. Several find the music too loud and the whole site over-commercialised.

How long it actually takes

The listing gives a 1.8 km trail from the visitor centre down to the falls, and the drive from Tbilisi as roughly one hour forty-five minutes to two and a half hours each way on winding mountain roads. Reviewers describe the descent by stairs as good exercise and the climb back as exhausting, which is why the paid ride up exists. Several skipped the waterfall altogether because of heat, time, or travelling with children. One reviewer's advice is the most useful line on the page: arrive early enough to actually reach the falls.

Worth the trip, on two conditions

On this evidence Dashbashi works best for visitors who are prepared for a commercial operation and who build in enough time to walk down to the water rather than photographing the bridge and leaving. It works badly as a quick stop squeezed into a day with three other sites, and it works badly for anyone who will resent paying a resort-style entrance fee for a natural gorge. Confirm the current admission price directly with the site before you set off, because the reviews clearly do not settle it.
